Welcome to All Things Nature
Hi, I’m Tanya Val
—a painter, forager, and lover of all things wild and untamed. My art is inspired by the landscapes of Alaska, where towering mountains, endless skies, and vibrant natural colors remind me every day to slow down and truly see the world around me.
Using materials I forage—like soil, plants, and berries—I create abstract paintings that reflect the textures and stories of the land. My journey into sustainable art began near a retreating glacier, a moment that shifted how I think about the earth and the importance of protecting its beauty. Now, everything I create feels like a way to honor nature and share its wonder with others.
This is a space for you to explore the art of slowing down and reconnecting—with creativity, with nature, and maybe even with yourself. Whether you’re here to dive into my paintings, learn how to create with natural materials, or join me on a retreat, I hope you feel at home and inspired to see the world a little differently.
Take a glimpse into my nature-filled creative space.
